Ways to share your encounter with Jesus Christ

It’s been said that the saints overcome the beast because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony (Rev 12:11). Your testimony is really important. The world needs to hear how Jesus changes people today, how He heals, how he restores, and how he gives the hope of eternal life. Here are some practical ways that you can let others know that Jesus changed your life in one way or another.

Vinyl letters

Here are some examples of what you can do with vinyl letters.

To get started, think of a short phrase. Next, go to Sticker Mule. Their vinyl letters are very durable, and the letters on the Tesla survived the California sun for 3 years, and still going strong.

Hats, clothes

It's so easy to get a hat or a shirt, or some other accessory that gives Jesus the glory and gratitude for giving us new life.
It will give people the courage to try Jesus, and they could experience the same transformation! Don’t keep it to yourself!
I got this hat from Panem Project. It goes with me everywhere I go: work, play, and even flying! I receive a lot of compliments from people -- great job on the design, Panem!
Go find something that you like.

Mt Tamalpais, overlooking San Fransisco, circa 2020.
There are many shirts available for purchase that share the difficult (and non-sugar coated) truth about our current world and the judgment to come. Consider getting one to wake people up and “pull them out of the fire”.

Accessories, jewelry

Check out Christian accessories and jewelry from YHWH Truth Illustrated. If you don't find something you like, you can request a custom piece.

Serve your community and other people

I promise you, that the best medicine for depression is to serve others. As you focus on the needs of others, you will find joy and meaning!

Biiiig signs.

This one... took quite some time to finally accomplish (because of my reluctance), and has an interesting back story.

As a new christian I was learning to spend time with God, practicing being quiet in His presence in order to hear from Him, to learn from Him, and just to be with Him. During one of these sessions (more on that coming soon), a thought came to me about how I should get on my knees on Coloma Blvd (major street in Rancho Cordova), to plead for people to take Jesus seriously.

Honestly, I kind of wanted to shake off that thought as being too radical. What if it was just my imagination? “No”, I concluded, “it couldn’t have been God’s task for me. I can’t do that. I am busy anyways". I recall that thought resurfacing multiple times in subsequent days and weeks, each time being met with hesitation on my part… “That can’t be God”.

Several years later, I was starting to experience burnout and severe brain fog at my engineering job, and that was leading me to reprioritize my relationship with God. Somehow that nudge to go witness on Coloma Blvd resurfaced once again, and this time I knew that I couldn’t quench/mute/silence the Holy Spirit’s prompting.

Shortly after I made a commitment to go, I stumbled on a newly released song by Antioch Music & Lindy Cofer called “Jesus Is The Lord”. The lyrics cut through my confusion:

And every knee will bow
And every tongue will shout
Jesus is the Lord
Jesus is the Lord
And every eye will see
The coming of the King

And this was the inspiration behind the orange high-viz sign that you see here.

Conclusion

If you struggle to associate with Jesus, it's ok. But it's a sign to you that your relationship with Jesus is not yet where it needs be. Ask Jesus directly to point out what's in the way of you fully embracing and following Him. Remember that statement from Mark 9:24: "I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!" It is our responsibility to get closer to Jesus, to make time for Him, and to seek out His will for us (James 9:28).

There is another verse in the Bible that describes what happens to people who do not wish to be associated with Jesus. "Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels." Luke 9:26
